Product Manager

Experience of owning a Telecoms Product throughout its Lifecycle from launch to end of life.

Responsible for:

The role will be focused on: 

  • Experience of owning a Telecoms Product throughout its Lifecycle from launch to end of life.

  • Proactively manage ‘in life’ Product performance ensuring an outstanding customer experience os achieved.

  • Lead the product planning process ensuring that there is enough stock on hand to meet the needs of a rappidly growing business. Also manage the stock of end of life products ensuring no overstock.

  • Lead advocate for Fibre broadband understanding the benefits of fibre and how these benefits can be effectively communicated to both business and residential customers and throughout the organisation

  • Continually monitor market trends inclusng both product, regulatory and any changes in government policy.

  • Lead the definition, development and integration of processes with internal teams and 3rd party vendors – e.g. SLA’s, product mapping, CRM etc

  • Identify, the different customer types and work with the other members of the sales and marleting team to identify these customer needs and effectively promote the benefits of wish products to them.

  • Ensuring that the key software, hardware, and regulatory requirements for Swish Fibre customers are in place

  • Lead the development and delivery of product on-boarding and the respective training plans with both internal staff and partners

  • launch SME Business product and VOIP service

  • Launch new @Home hardware - Wi-Fi 6 Residential Gateways

  • Work with the marketing team to communicate the benefits of the Swish service to Residential and Business customers

  • Monitor the web-site and input into key updates and improvements to the web-site.

  • Input into the KPI, pricing and regulatory processes

  • Creating framework/parameters to ensure that we have the right elements in commercial agreements

  • Responsible for the ongoing product road map and then ensuring delivery against the road map

  • Provides recommendation on when the business should develop, partner or acquire to meet gaps in the product portfolio.

  • Responsible for working with Business Operations Manager regarding product catalogue and product descriptions

  • Managing Product Executive, sharing and developing key knowledge

  • Gathers regular intelligence to ensure products are competitively priced and promoted in the market and keep aware of market trends

  • Identify an independent VoIP partner that can provide the services that Swish Fibres customers will require. 

  • Review the Consumer facing GDPR and identify any areas of non-compliance that need to be addressed.

  • Ownership of the continually evolving customer question database clarifying to consumers the benefits of Swish products over other technologies.

  • Work with the marketing team on educating the market on the benefits of fibre especially with respect to education, on demand TV especially how to get sports TV on fibre.

  • Provide input to the sales and marketing team to enable them to update the website and promote the benefits of the Swish Fibre product portfolio

  • Manage product launch and reporting with commercial and operational teams

  • Lead the definition of product testing requirements and delivery of plans, working with internal teams
     

Key Skills:

  • Data product development and management experience and understanding of end to end product development processes

  • Technically minded with some level of experience across statistical analysis, machine learning, AI and data modelling across big data sets

  • An understanding of the technical architecture, cloud computing, required for developing scalable data solutions and ability to contribute to design discussions, challenging technology assumptions

  • Proven experience in supplier and 3rd party partner management, including the end to end delivery of collaborative solutions

  • Experience of working directly with customers in a consultative manner to gather product insights and requirements

  • The ability to apply data, research, and professional judgment and experience to ensure their products are making the biggest difference to consumers

  • Agile methodology experience will be an advantage
