Head of HR

 Reporting to the CEO the role will work in close partnership with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies in line with Swish Fibre Ltd.’s ambitious transformational plans on a strategic and operational level. 

Role Summary:

  • In partnership with key stakeholders, develop and implement HR strategies in line with Swish Fibre Ltd.’s ambitious transformational plans on a strategic and operational level. 

  • Lead on change initiatives and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation. 

  • Coach and support line managers in terms of people skills and general HR practices 

  • Ensure all HR policies and processes are compliant with legislation and consistently applied. 

  • Manage payroll and co-ordinate remuneration policies and advise senior management on salaries in reference to external benchmarks. 

  • Oversee and implement the recruitment strategy. 

 

  • Oversee learning and development needs, develop and implement appropriate programmes and promote the future talent agenda. 

  • Provide regular management reporting and analysis through relevant HR metrics. 

  • Nurture an energetic, fun, open working environment across all departments. 

  • Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource management and maintain staff records in accordance with GDPR. 

Key Skills:

  • Credible and persuasive – able to gain support and confidence of leaders and directors. 

  • Able to take a lead role in change management programmes 

  • Effective coaching skills 

  • Experience of ER issues 

  • Working (up to date) knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation 

  • Focused – able to deal with competing demands whilst remaining detail conscious and organised 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Good analytical and logical reasoning skills 

  • Understands and is interested in business drivers and can relate this to HR interventions 

  • Good problem-solving skills. 

  • Budget management experience. 

  • No direct people management responsibility – ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. 

Key Experience:

  • Proven generalist HR experience gained within fast paced commercial organisations. 

  • Sound working knowledge of local employment law 

  • Good working knowledge of HR best practice approaches 

  • Experience of managing change/change management methodologies and coordinating and delivering projects 

  • Proven track record of developing effective relationships and managing expectations of multiple stakeholders 

  • Able to demonstrate impact of HR initiatives on the business either commercially and / or operationally 

  • Ability to deliver simple solutions to complex problems. Defines complex issues clearly despite incomplete or ambiguous information 

  • Demonstrate the ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation to influence behavioural change and deliver win: win solutions 

  • Comfortable with data, analysis and the ability to interrogate data to drive insight

 

  • Champions an open culture that fosters a sense of pace and energy and fun 

Professional Skills and Background:

  • Higher education or relevant degree and/or CIPD qualified. 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ HR management experience at senior level. 

  • Strategic thinker with operational experience.
