Network Operations Engineer (NOC)

We are a full-fibre broadband provider with £250m of investment. We are rolling out a 10Gbps FTTP networks and have a plan to cover a total of 250,000 premises bringing truly exceptional connectivity services to homes and businesses in the South of England. We want to improve lifestyles and enhance communities by instantly connecting people and businesses beyond today’s broadband.

Responsible for:

  • Monitoring of various customer networks across different technologies

  • Carrying out initial diagnosis on faults and escalating issues into 2nd line support as required

  • Prioritising faults to meet SLA’s

  • Providing regular updates to customer care on the progress of faults

  • Facilities monitoring and fault fix

  • Arranging and coordinating access for suppliers.

Core skills required:

  • Previous experience of working in a Network Operations Centre

  • Comfortable working shift patterns 

  • Support experience in Data Centres, PON, SDH, DWDM and Ethernet/IP technologies

  • Understanding of Network Management Systems and functions

  • Experienced in fault ticketing systems such as Salesforce

  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise faults and workload

  • The ability to adapt to a fast paced environment

  • Highly competent in all MS Office systems and IT platforms

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
