Training Manager - 6-9 Month FTC

Experience of creating a technical training Academy for Field-Based employees and also setting up a graduate training programme

Responsible for:

  • Experience of creating a technical training Academy for Field-Based employees and also setting up a graduate training programme

  • Advising on learning and development best practice which support the company’s objectives.

  • Lead the learning delivery of training programmes ensuring employees can demonstrate competence across all aspects of the role and are compliant with relevant legislation and industry codes of practice.

  • Being able to take an idea from creation through to proposal through to delivery.

  • Creating & delivering inspiring learning solutions

  • Review learning evaluations and act on feedback to support continuous improvement of delivery and facilitation in terms of learner experience, satisfaction, engagement, and business impact.

  • Determines training needs and requirements

  • Works with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments

  • Previous telco experience is required to and keep current on the activities and needs of our industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars

Core skills required:

  • CIPD (or similar) related to Learning & Development / Training Facilitation

  • Ideally have previously worked in the telecoms industry

  • Have designed and delivered training in a variety of methods.

  • Be able to demonstrable ability to complete full learning cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).

  • Have excellent project management skills.

  • Be confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability and confidence to present to large audiences and lead discussions with senior stakeholders.

  • Have the ability to persuade and influence.

  • Be able to demonstrate coaching skills to Managers on leadership.

  • Have the proven ability to build relationships with external suppliers.

  • Ideally have experience in working in multi-site (geographies) environments and potentially be willing to travel (Covid allowing)
